I decided to write this post since many people are catching on the eating healthy and delicious Quinoa. Since many people love it and it’s a great alternative to rice, you can cook it with many recipes and healthy dishes as a side.
But since Quinoa can be a but tough to cook fast, somewhat harder than rice. It can often be considered a but of a pain. Not to worry however there are ways to cook your Quinoa fast without standing over a pot and pan for over 20 minutes waiting to see something happen.
Quinoa is higher in protein that brown rice and if much more easy on the stomach since it is lighter in weight. You wont feel as though you have eaten a big meal after much Quinoa, which is what is so great about it.
How To Cook Quinoa In Only 15 Minutes
If you have a steamer the best way to cook your Quinoa is on high with the water filled all the way to the top. You can easily cook Quinoa in under 15 minutes if you have a great steamer, but if you don’t here’s what you can do.
Boil a pan of water and keep your oven ring on high to medium high, making sure that your pot is only about 1/3 filled with boiling water. Then, take a small strainer and put it on top of the pan with your 2 cups or so of Quinoa.
You can cook Quinoa quite fast with this method, just remember to more you put in the strainer the longer it takes to cook. So if you were just making a meal for yourself and cooked only about a cup or cup and half. You would be able to cook it in about only 15 minutes.
How You Can Add Quinoa To Other Recipes
If you are familiar with eating recipes with rice, just simply exchange it for Quinoa and watch your body stay slimmer. Add things like meat, veggies and your sauces of choice with Quinoa and you have a delicious meal fit for a king!
