Today I wanted to talk a bit about how someone can get back into the habit of going to the gym after a simple injury like small surgeries or an extend absence of about at least a month.
Getting back into fitness and working out after a brief break where you feel that you have lost time and results is not the end of the world. Your body can always get back to where you were before, it just takes time and persistence.
Hard work will really pay off if you simply slowly ease back into your workouts. Here are a few things that you can do to help you get back to working out after a long break.

These simple tips can be really helpful, for example if you stretch this can help you relieve tension and help your muscles grow. Stretching not only helps to prevent injury but is extremely important when you come back after say a shoulder injury or appendix operation.
Diet is also extremely important, you want to make sure that it’s high in protein and you eat carbohydrates to fuel your workouts and avoid them while you’re not working out. Eating healthy, whole wheat products can help you avoid keeping on the extra pounds from your time off.
However if you don’t forget that your body needs to “take it slow” when it comes back to your training. Higher reps are just the way to get your body used to endure the weights and exercises that you once used to do.
If you want some tips on how to train again, it’s always best to measure your sets so that you can do 15 repetitions completely. When you come back from an extended time off its very easy to get sore and over due it so scale back your workout.
Scale back your workouts to include more rest days and rest time because your going to need it, trust me. Motivation is also very important when it comes to getting back to working out after a long break because you have lost the edge.
Once you release your endorphins you will notice that you will start enjoying your workouts after coming back. So enjoy coming back and look at it as a challenge, like your starting over.
