Most people have a different opinion about this one, people have busy schedules and very little time to plan when they can workout. But most people have developed or know to some extent what time of day is the best for them to workout.
The time that they feel they get the best workouts, best results and just plain enjoy it more than other times of the day. Some people enjoy getting up super early and just heading to the gym at 6:00 am, when others like to workout in the evening before bed to they can go to sleep easier.
It really depends on you preference, personally I get the best workouts right after I have my second meal of the day. I notice that I have not recovered enough after just a hearty breakfast. It’s almost like my body absorbs all the nutrients from breakfast right away and doesn’t store anything for a workout.
That why I have notices after a good second meal high in protein and carbs is the best time for my body to train. My body uses the fats, aminos, hydration, glycogen in the first meal to recover from sleeping and the workout I had the day before.
The second meal however does the opposite, it finally fills my glycogen stores and fuels my body for a hard workout. I have tried to workout after just a breakfast meal and I get tired quicker and end up getting sore muscles because they seem to be weaker.
This is why I stick to my 2nd meal rule. It has never failed me, and I always get a great workout with lots of energy to spare. That being said, I never workout to late either.
The peak periods I find that I can workout are between lunch and dinner, but never to late because I would stay up late at night and have trouble sleeping. But that’s just my preference, what about you?
Do you have any perfect time of the day that gives you a better result with your workout, if so please leave a comment. Or if you don’t have any issues with the time of day you workout, leave a comment to.
